Tomorrow marks for me a holiday about our independence. It marks why we were and still can be a great nation. The 4th of July, Independence Day is to some an opportunity to grill with friends. Blow up some fireworks and do other traditional 4th of July “stuff”.
What too many of us forget is just what this holiday is and means. We forget to stop with our fireworks and backyard grills to remember just why even after over 200 years, we have the freedoms to blow up those fireworks and grill those burgers. We forget to stop and remember all of those men and women who gave everything so we could have the freedoms promised in the Declaration of Independence. We simply forget…
