This week was a busy week with running our home based business and visiting our son, daughter-in-law and our awesome grand daughter. Perhaps one of these days I will show you what we do in our home based business too. Just a bit worried about keeping things on the down low on that so I will have to think about it.
Anyway this week we purchased more items for our inventory.
Grabbed some ammo from LuckyGunner. They had both 7.62 and .45 ACP on sale. We were able to get 500 more rounds of each. Also was able to get some brand new AK-47 mags and .50 cal ammo cans. After all, with the stocking up on ammo, we need a good water tight storage vehicle and the ammo cans are really the best way to do that. Another item purchased for the AK-47 was a better grip. The one which is stock is just a bit uncomfortable.
Since one of the guns in our inventory is my old Remington Model 870 20 ga, I grabbed a case of #6 field loads. These are really not for defense purposes as much for hunting. Growing up I used this shotgun for all small game. It is lighter to carry than a 12 ga and I figured since I already had it, why not make sure we had the ammo to use it.
On the food front, our monthly purchase of freeze dried foods was shipped too. We are doing a monthly purchase with two different companies and so far I am very happy with the service and the quality of the food products. If you can swing it with your budget, this is a great way to get stocked up on long term storage food items. What I like about it is the fact I don’t have to empty the bank account all at once to get a years worth of long term storage items.
My plan is to continue to do this right up to November and then see what the election holds. However, I for one see SHTF this summer. Obama has such a god complex I do not believe he will leave office. He is going to do something which drives this country into complete turmoil. I hope I am wrong.
Finally this week I inventoried my old coin collection I had from when I was in my teens. I knew I had a lot of silver coins, but was actually surprised at how much I did have. Also, we purchased our first monthly purchase of additional silver from a very good dealer we trust. Whether we purchase any gold will depend on where we are at in our food storage purchases, guns and ammo. After all, if worse comes to worse we can use ammo as a barter item. This is also one reason I am overstocking ammo and even a few extra firearms.
Just get started
I realize sometimes that my weekly purchases might seem a bit extreme and costly. Well, they are. I am lucky that my youngest son and I run a very successful internet based business. In fact, it is international as we have customers buying our products from around the world. And it is daily this happens. This enables us to purchase more than most can afford. So, what is my point here?
You have to at least get started. Even if it is just buying a case of canned goods a week or even only one box of ammo. Get started and get started now.
I truly believe time is running out fast. I urge you to get started NOW. Don’t be one of the non-preppers who shows up at a prepper’s door begging for food or protection. Those who do not prep, put all of the rest of us at extreme risk.
